From the day I first starting writing this blog, way back in 2010, the headline on the homepage has said:
Owning gold gives you a private, safe haven for your wealth during uncertain times.
Uncertain times? That would be now, my friends. Right now.
Look around.
North Korea is threatening a nuclear missile strike on both Guam and the US mainland itself.
Iran is telling us they can start up their own nuclear program again, with just a few days’ notice.
Terrorist attacks are taking place in Europe almost weekly.
Russia is about to start its biggest ever military “exercise” just east of the Baltic states.
And here in the U.S.? Chaos in Washington.
This blog isn’t about politics. We don’t take sides. I’m distrustful of ALL politicians when it comes to my money and taking care of my family.
But when I see chaos around the world and mayhem in the White House, I know we are entering the very heart of “uncertain times”.
Gold prices are sensitive to political uncertainty. They always have been. That’s WHY gold is a safe haven in stormy weather.
Look at the price of gold since the beginning of the year and you’ll see, for all its minor ups and owns, the trend is up.
Gold is listening to what’s happening around the world, and what’s happening here in the US.
It’s listening and responding. Prices are rising.
For now, the rise in prices has been slow and measured.
But we’re approaching a tipping point.
Something’s going to break and crash. Maybe it will be the dollar. Maybe it will be stock prices on Wall Street. Or, God forbid, we’ll be back at war.
And when that happens, the price of gold will fly to the moon.
Which is why the time to buy more gold is now.
